This call is now closed!
STSMs are exchange visits for researchers within the SENESCENCE2030 COST Action. STSM are an excellent opportunity for researchers to share techniques and gain skills that may not be available at their home institution or laboratory.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
SENESCENCE2030 is offering grants of up to € 3,000 each for STSMs to be completed by mid-April 2025. The STSMs can range from 5 calendar days to 70 days and are aimed at providing learning opportunities, preferably but not solely, to Young Researchers (under 40 years old) through research exchange outside their home country.

ABOUT SENESCENCE2030
COST, European Cooperation in Science and Technology, supports the Action SENESCENCE2030 “Targeting Cell Senescence to Prevent Age-Related Diseases”. To extend the human healthspan, it is essential to focus on preventing or alleviating age-associated diseases collectively rather than addressing them individually. Current advancements in cellular and molecular biology have identified cellular senescence as a key targetable hallmark of aging, closely linked to metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegeneration, and cancer. SENESCENCE2030 aims to shift from a disease-centered therapeutic paradigm to a balanced, preventive, and personalized treatment strategy, promoting healthspan extension and mitigating premature aging.
With this second call for Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM), SENESCENCE2030 offers grants to provide learning opportunities for researchers. These grants aim to advance our understanding of biological processes, develop interventional measures, and create impactful solutions for age-related diseases.
